Kids Campus End of Summer Update

Kid's Campus Learning Center (512-892-5437)                     August 2017

Can you believe the Summer is almost over? I don't know about you, but with this Texas heat I'm ready for some cool weather.

First off, it's nearly back to school time and in September our classrooms will be starting their fall themes. Our teachers are using their imaginations in creating the themes for each classroom while being sure to incorporate our curriculum. Look for some fun and exciting activities to come!

Our mural in building 1 is looking good with the library finished and the science area still a work in progress. A big thank-you to John John, Ms. Andrea's son, who's a gifted artist. We are blessed to have him helping out at KCLC.

Our staff also has some additions. Ms. Mecayla Miller is working with our infants. She is taking Child Development and business management courses at ACC this fall. She has passion and love for our KCLC children and the infants all love her. She is a great addition to our hardworking KCLC team.

Ms.Kathy De Leon, our new pre-k teacher, brings with her the certifications needed for us to move forward with the AISD partnership we have been working towards. She comes with 3 certifications: Specials needs, Pre-K and Elementary education 1 through 12. She just moved to Austin from Lockhart where she taught in Lockhart ISD. Children took to her amazingly quickly and after the first week you would have thought she had been with them for months. She loves  messy science experments and gardening.

Ms. Shaina Green is our floater and is currently working with the busy bees. She has years of experience in a child care setting and comes highly recommended. In fact, when I checked with a former employer of hers, she said she wanted Shaina to come back and work for her again.

We want to thank each of you for sharing your children with us, and look forward to a great 2017-2018 school year!!
